De Jong transfer news: Chelsea or Bayern Munich?

Dutch midfielder Frenkie de Jong is open to a move to a club during the current summer Mercato.

Barcelona wants to get rid of De Jong because of his large salary, and the club’s need for the money to sell it, in order to register new deals.

According to the Spanish newspaper, Mundo Deportivo regarding De Jong transfer news:

De Jong insists on refusing to move to Manchester United this summer.

The Player will not agree to sign with any club that does not participate in the Champions League.

The newspaper indicated that De Jong also had doubts about the possibility of Manchester United’s return to the Champions League in the coming seasons, or his ability to compete for the English Premier League title.

Explained that De Jong is attracted to move to Bayern Munich or Chelsea, because of the strength of the two teams locally and in Europe.

She stated that the possibility of de Jong moving to Bayern Munich is very remote because the Bavarian did not inquire about the player’s situation.

On the other hand, Chelsea has expressed interest in De Jong but has not yet sent any official offer.
