Barcelona rejects Chelsea’s demands: Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso!

Today, Wednesday, a Spanish press report revealed Chelsea’s demands to sell the team duo Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso to Barcelona in the current summer Mercato.

Barcelona is seeking to complete its strong transfer market, by contracting two full-backs alongside Chelsea, who would welcome a move to the Camp Nou.

Why Barcelona rejects Chelsea’s demands?

According to the Catalan newspaper, “Sport”:

Additionally, Chelsea had previously told Barcelona of its financial demands to sell Azpilicueta and Alonso in early July, while the club’s owner, Todd Boelly, was in Spain.

The newspaper added that Chelsea had asked for 25 million euros, in exchange for the sale of players, therefore Barcelona rejects it.

The newspaper mentioned that Barcelona refuses to pay this number, especially since the players have only one season left in their contracts, and both want to leave for Barca.

For his part, Chelsea does not mind the departure of the players on the condition of obtaining a replacement, and the priority in the departure is for Alonso, who left the accounts of coach Thomas Tuchel.

Barcelona is confident that the two deals can be completed for 10 million euros or maybe less for each player.
