Aubameyang close to Chelsea in the current summer Mercato!
It seems that Chelsea has determined to sign Gabonese Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, a Barcelona striker, in the current summer Mercato.
Chelsea recently entered into negotiations with Barcelona to include Aubameyang, to compensate for the departure of Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner.
Chelsea made its first offer for Aubameyang, for 15 million euros, in addition to bonuses, but Barcelona estimated the value of the deal at 25 million euros.
Fabrizio Romano, an expert on the transfer market in Europe, confirmed that Chelsea intends to resume negotiations with Barcelona and Aubameyang close to Chelsea.
“Chelsea will renew its contacts with Barcelona again through mediators today, in order to reach an agreement regarding Aubameyang,” Romano wrote, through his account on Twitter.
He added: “No agreement was reached yesterday, but Chelsea is determined to seal the deal.”
As for the future of Dutchman Memphis Depay, he said: “Expected that Depay’s transfer to Juventus will collapse soon.”
He stressed, “Barcelona will not give its player the freedom to leave, except when he finds a new club.”
The Catalan club is seeking to dispense with Aubameyang, in order to reduce the team’s salaries and to succeed in registering the French defender, Jules Conde.
